About Amanda

Hi there, my name is Amanda Winsor and i am a British Master Florist, working from a a beautiful bespoke built studio in the heart of Exminster, near Exeter. I have a passion for all things floral, taking most of my inspiration from nature. I love to use plant materials that are in season as they just seem to fit. I am an academic fellow of IOPF (Institute of Professional Florist) as well as a member of the British Flower Collective. I grow seasonal flowers that I used in my floral designs and i try to source my floral materials locally when possible. I also source flowers from all over the world which gives me a wide variety of different floral materials for all occasions.

I am the in house florist at Paschoe house, a boutique hunting lodge in Bow which is great achievement of mine.  Few other of my achievements during my career as a florist include being awarded with Gold medal at RHS Hampton Court Palace flower show and a Slivler Gilt and Bronze medal at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

I founded Winsor Flower Studio in 2016 after having a major road traffic accident that caused me to switch career paths from a Master pâtissier and chocolatier to florist. I obtained my Master the same year. During my time as a British Master Florist I have been lucky enough to have been asked to create a floral design for Princess Anne when she made a trip to Devon in 2018. I have also had my work published in many industry magazines such as Wed magazine, Vow magazine and Fushion Flowers.

When I am not in my studio creating floral pieces or at Paschoe doing the fresh weekly arrangements I like the spend my time playing Golf with my Father and sons or pursing my interest in upcycling used material that I can incorporate in my designs.

The Garden

I grow seasonal British flowers in my flower garden which helps me create natural, stylish and beautiful arrangements for life’s events – whether it be for wedding, sympathy, corporate or a bouquet for the kitchen table.

Based in Exminster just outside Exeter, my flowers are grown without chemicals, with a low carbon footprint. My locally grown flowers are scented and I am lucky to have bee hives at the growing patch. It’s great to see so many bees collecting pollen from the flowers I grow.

I am a fully trained florist who loves working with seasonal materials. I am a naturally creative person, led botanically, by colour and texture which can be seen in my natural, relaxed floral creations.

Although I grow British flowers I import flowers from around the world for clients that wish to have the best of both; the two do go hand in hand well together or each can stand alone.
